Joe Wesley Whitis, 60, of Eubank, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019.

He was born on November 5, 1958 in Ano, KY; son of the late Charlie William Whitis and Myrtle Whitaker. He was a sawmill employee for Vaught Bros. Pallet Mill, a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.

Joe is survived by his wife, Connie Hines Whitis; two children, Corbett & (Sarah) Brock of Waynesburg; Courtney Brock of Eubank; four brothers, Bruce Whitaker of Eubank; Andy & (Donna) Hill of Monticello; Earl and Odell Daniels, both of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Anna & (Bud) Glover of Somerset; Susie Bedford of Radcliff; Janice & (Ralph) Dooley of North Carolina; Shirley Neeley of Somerset; two grandchildren, Aiden Huff and William Brock; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles "Buster" Whitis; two sisters, Ruthy Whitis and Deborah Whitis.

A funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, with Bro. Scott Hughes officiating.

Burial in Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Joe Wesley Whitis Memorial Fund.
