Jimmy Dale Sims

Jimmy Dale Sims, 71, formerly of Lincoln County, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Community Hospital North, Indiana.
He was born in the Pond Ridge Community on January 10, 1947; son of the late Roy Norman and Maxine Elsie Bitner Sims. He was a retired Jet Engine Part Machinist, and Tape Operator for General Motors; and a member of the Assembly of God - Full Gospel Church.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Joan Elliott Sims; a daughter, Melinda Ann West & (Michael); a son, Jamey Lee Sims & (Denise); two brothers, Randy & (Mona) Sims and Danny Sims; and seven grandchildren, Kelsey West, Tyler West, Olivia West, Amanda Sims, Breanna Sims, Hannah Sims, and Nathan Sims; one great granddaughter Solvae West; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Sims and sister-in-law Jean Sims.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday, October 14, 2018. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, October 15, 2018. Both at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
