Jerry Frank Gibson

January 14, 1946 — December 6, 2022

Jerry Frank Gibson, 76, of Somerset, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born in Burnside, Kentucky on January 14, 1946; son of the late Marvin Bishop & Pearl (Davis) Gibson. Unitl his retirement he worked as a Night Watchman for Plum Creek Flooring. He enjoyed enjoyed wood working, and spending time with his dogs and cats. He was a member of Burnside Baptist Church, and a long time member of Burnside Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda (Colyer) Gibson whom he married on January 12, 1996; two sons, Bill Gibson and Jerry Gibson, Jr. & (Tammy); a brother, Arvil Lee Gibson & (Lena); two grandchildren, Jordan Gibson & (Mahala) and Jacob Gibson; an aunt, Nancy Sutherland; and special friends Brian and Claudia Watson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen Jones & (Ralph); three brothers, George Ryan 'Peanut' Gibson, James 'Jimmy' Gibson, and Marvin Gibson, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Joy Simmons and Bro. John Simpkins officiating.

Burial will be in Clay Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 1 PM Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
