Jerry Lee Bullock

Jerry Lee Bullock age 77 of Somerset, KY passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Homestead Nursing, Lexington, KY.

He was born in Whitland, Indiana on April 8, 1945; son of the late John H Bullock and Elizabeth Marie Bell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janie Lynn (Gossett) Bullock, whom he married May 28, 1971 and who passed away March 7, 2020, his brother Harold Bullock Jr. and a son in law Donnie Phillips.

He is survived by his loving son and caretaker Tracy ( and Charissa) Bullock of Somerset, A sister, Marlene (and Jerry) Jones of Shopville, daughter, Amy Phillips (and Dave) and a son, Michael Bullock of Somerset, grandchildren; Keaston, Maverik, Gavin and Emmalee Bullock, Tiffany Lockard all of Somerset, Jordan (and Ivy) Lockard of Science Hill and one great grandchild; Maisyn Lockard of Science Hill.

Jerry was a veteran of The United States Navy. He served three tours in Vietnam and was a member of the Navy Seals where he was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Presidential Unit Citation Medal. He also earned twenty eight other medals for his service to his country. Jerry also served on the Parkers Mill Fire Department, unit # 826.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.

Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion post #38 Honor Guard.
