Jeffrey A. Burton

Jeffrey Burton, 58, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on June 1, 1964; son of Granville "Sonny" and Aileen Burton. He was a lead foreman for Messer Construction in Lexington. He was a fan of car racing, enjoyed gardening, landscaping, loved spending time with his grandchildren, had a knack for cooking, and was a collector of things.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rebecca "Becky" Chaney Burton, whom he married on March 5, 1986; his children, Bradlee Allen & (Bethany) Burton of Shopville, Lenzi Meree Burton & (Nick Fields) of Danville, and Logan Chaney & (Paige) Burton of Paris; his parents, Granville "Sonny" and Aileen Burton of Nancy; a brother, Brian Burton of Nancy; a sister, Jessica & (Eric) Vaught of Somerset; six grandchildren, Carson, Delilah, Hattie, Henry, Everlee, Ellie; a nephew, Colson Vaught; and a beloved dog, Gypsy.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jerad Nolen Burton who passed away in 2006.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hail officiating.

Burial will be in Wesley's Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Friday, November 25, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
