Jeanette Hampton

Jeanette Eldridge Hampton, 81, of Waynesburg, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, Kentucky.

She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on June 11, 1938; daughter of the late Howard & Mary (Caudill) Eldridge. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, animals, and loved her family. She was an employee of Fort Logan Hospital for over 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Gale Hampton, of 64 years, whom she married on September 17, 1954 and with this union they were blessed with three children; Kathie Stevens of Corbin, Kentucky, Jana & (Doug) Baugh of Eubank, and Dwayne & (Melissa) Hampton of Waynesburg, Kentucky; four sisters, Betty & (Charles) Fields of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, Elsie Todd of Knoxville, Tennessee, Violet Trumbo of South Charleston, Ohio, Mabel Collins of Eubank, Kentucky; a brother, Burnest & (Wanda) Eldridge of Lebanon, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Kelly Gregory, Amy McGinnis, Daniel Stevens, Samantha Hampton, Kyle Hampton; five great-grandchildren, Summar Gregory, Trevor McGinnis, Ashton Gregory, Emmarie Antle, Grayson Antle; and a great-great-grandchild, Leelynn Gregory.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Denver Eldridge, Ernest Eldridge, Gladis "Sam" Eldridge; sister, Ora Eldridge; grandsons, Michael Stevens & Zachary Hampton.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:30 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Waynesburg, Kentucky.

Visitation will be after 2:30 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Pall bearers are Earl Gregory, Daniel Stevens, Ashton Gregory, Kyle Hampton, Scott McGinnis, Trevor McGinnis, and Steve Eldridge.
