Janice Epperson

Janice Epperson, 66, of Somerset, KY, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

She was born in Somerset, KY on February 28, 1951 to the late Edgar and Christine Epperson. She graduated from Georgetown College and was a social worker for the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled at Stewart Home Schools of Frankfort. She also worked as a caregiver for Everyday Matters and Hospice of KY. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Frankfort, KY where she was actively involved in the children’s ministry program. She had a heart for children and was a “Big Sister” to many.

She is survived by two brothers, Eddie (Jody) Epperson of Somerset and David (Gina) Epperson of Richmond, KY and one sister, Linda (Onva) Hargis of Cincinnati, OH. She was “Aunt Jan” to 30 Nieces & Nephews and “Janin” to Cami & Travis Simpson.

Visitation will be at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 and funeral services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Everett Hawkins officiating.

Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Faith Baptist Church Project Fund.
