Janell Grider

Janell Grider, age 66, Science Hill, KY passed away on May 8, 2022.

She was born in Somerset April 4, 1956. Janell was preceded in death by her father John Henry Withers and mother Lois Maxine Withers Dick.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years Douglas E Grider and her son Seth Elliott Grider; one brother Melvin Withers (and Beth Durham) of Russell Springs, nephews Jeffrey Withers of Lexington and Kayden Durham of Russell Springs, and a niece Tiffany Withers of Russell Springs.

Janell was a 1974 graduate of Russell County High School. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Russell Springs. She met her husband Doug in 1979. They married September 22, 1984. Janell enjoyed traveling and seeing new places, reading, and family activities. Janell was a kind, loving, devoted mother and wife who loved her family. She built her life around her husband and son who loved her and will miss her very much.

A private service will be held this Thursday, May 12, at Morris Hislope Funeral Home for family at 11 a.m. and close friends at noon.

Burial will follow at the Science Hill Cemetery.
