James Dwayne Poore

James "Jamie" Dwayne Poore, 54, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Jamie was born on June 19, 1972, to the late James Earl Poore and Lillie Faye Kelsey Sweet.

Jamie was a kindhearted individual who found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed attending Barnesburg Baptist Church, spending time outdoors fishing, and riding his bicycle. Above all, Jamie had a heart for helping others and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. His friendly spirit, generosity, and willingness to help those around him will be fondly remembered by the many people whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his children, Derrick Dwayne Miller, Cody Poore, and Lakesha Cheyenne Poore; his siblings, James Earl Poore, Jr., Pamela McGuire, Vickie Lynn Poore, and Forrest Shawn Poore; six cherished grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends who cared deeply for him.

Jamie will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for others, and the simple joys that brought meaning to his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
