James Allen Duvall

James Allen Duvall, age 71, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky.

He was born December 3, 1954 to the late William Thomas & Audrey Ellen (Foster) Duvall in Cincinnati, Ohio. James was known for his love of the University of Kentucky basketball, tinkering with anything that had a motor, and fishing.

He is survived by his significant other, Peggy Wesley; four children, Christie & (Billy) Gilliam, Tony Duvall, James & (Peggy) Duvall, and Jonathan & (Charlene) Duvall; ten grandchildren, Quinton, Katelyn, Zack, Kelly, Hope, Gabriel, Mariah, Dakota, Adrianna, & Cristian; siblings, Bob & (Charlotte) Duvall, Harvey ( Janet) Kidd, Junior & (Betty) Kidd, Jeff Kidd, Wendall Foster, Katheleen & (Rick) Phelps, and Elaine & (Scott) Foster; and two best friends, Mike and Bobby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Audrey Duvall; and two siblings, Dave Duvall and Sue & (Fred) Wesley.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Brian Sawyers officiating.

Burial will follow at Preachersville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM on Friday until time for services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the James Duvall Memorial Fund c/o Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
