James Rodney "Jim" Cromer, 51, of Burnside, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland. He was born December 25, 1970 in Ohio; son of the late Louie Wayne & Norma Rojean (Calder) Cromer. He was a United States Army Veteran and was of the Baptist Faith. Jim enjoyed hunting and making things from anything her could use, metal, wood, or whatever he set his mind to. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and loved being outdoors. He had a raw talent for art and saw art in everything. He especially loved making pieces from driftwood, including a dragon which was one of his favorite pieces that he had completed. He is survived by his wife, Angela (Hargis) Cromer, to whom he was joined in marriage on December 25, 1993; two daughters, Misha & (Kevin) Wallace and Sasha Cromer; a grandson, Camden Ray Cromer; two granddaughters, Mila Jean Smith and Emerson Rose Wallace; a brother, Ray & (Melinda) Cromer; two sisters, Judy & (Sonny) Roark and Jeanie & (Stan) Brown; and a sister-in-law, Betsy Stevens and the late Tom Stevens. He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandfathers, Marvin Calder and Raymond Cromer; grandmothers, Celesta Singleton Calder and Odie Burdine Cromer; step-grandmother, Elma Cromer; and a special uncle, Clifford Calder. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Watson officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post # 38. Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
