James Edwin Callahan, 85, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in Grundy, KY on April 4, 1935, son of the late John and Alta Randall Callahan. He was a farmer and retired as a foreman of the paving crew for the Kentucky Highway Dept. He was a member of the Lancaster Tabernacle Baptist Church. He attended church regularly, continuing his path and faith that God would want him to travel.
He is survived by his brother, Billy Callahan of Somerset; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Whitson Callahan; his second wife, Doris Hunt Callahan; three brothers, Glen, George, and Erwin Callahan.
A funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Wheeler officiating.
Burial in the Rocklick Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, August 31, 2020 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
