Jacky Hansford White, 89, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born on July 19, 1936 to the late William T. & Ethel Mae (Pierce) White in Dunnville, Kentucky.
Jacky was a man of remarkable talents and diverse passions. A gifted musician, he shared his love of music as part of his band, Jack White & the Coachmen. He was also an accomplished drag racer and custom car builder, admired for his skill, creativity, and dedication. Beyond his mechanical and musical talents, Jacky was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who found peace and fulfillment in nature. He also took pride in building homes, leaving behind lasting work that reflected his craftsmanship and care. He was an artist at heart, blessed with many gifts that he shared generously with those around him.
Above all, Jacky was a devoted family man. He loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. His greatest joy came not from his many talents and achievements, but from the love he shared with those closest to him. He was very proud of his latest great-grandson, Jeremiah, the son of his granddaughter, Haley & (Gabe) Ross. His nieces and nephews would all call him "Daddy Jack."
He is survived by his children, Jeff & (Patricia) White of Glasgow, KY, Chuck & (Tina) White of Somerset, KY, and Jackie White Rogers of Somerset, KY; brothers, Billy Joe & (Nancy) White of Cincinnati, OH and Bobby Gene & (Patye) White of Lawrenceburg, IN; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Karen White of Alexandria, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie White, whom he married in 1959; a brother, Beecher William White; and his sister, Judy & (Bob) Brock.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey and Bro. Chris Jones officiating.
Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
