Ina Joann Godbey

Ina Joann Godbey, 79, of Somerset, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.

She was born October 3, 1943 in Pulaski County, Kentucky; daughter of the late Joda & Sarah (Dick) Thompson. She was a farmer and a member of the Denham Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her best friend, Ellis Ray Hall; five children, Bennie Ray & (Debra June) Godbey of Somerset, Deborah Lynn & (Ed) Taylor of Frankfort, Dianna Faye & (Bruce) Frye of Somerset, Patricia Ilene Wilhelm of Somerset, and Robin Michelle & (Bobby) Hudson of Science Hill; sisters, Wanda & (Doug) Fearnow of Indiana and Hazel Rogers of Advance, Indiana; grandchildren, Alicia & Keith Miller, Brooke Kemper, Chris Godbey, Teresa & (Colin) Pemberton, Alex & (Jordan) Miller, Matthew & (Summer) Meece, Tyler & (Aaron) Ard, and Jason Wesley; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Godbey, Kayden Miller, Dalton Godbey, Maleah Godbey, Caleb Pemberton, and Cora Jae Miller.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bennis Godbey; and many brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeffrey Griffith officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Friday, December 9, 2022, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
