Hubert Ray Losey

Bro. Hubert Ray Losey, 94, of Science Hill passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his residence.

He was born November 23, 1924 in Johnson City, Illinois; son of the late Ernest & Elizabeth (Calhoun) Losey. During his life he served as a minister and did trade work as an electrician in his retired years. He also served our country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army, stationed in France, Belgium, Germany, Australia and later in the Philippines to prepare for the invasion of Japan. He was then later discharged in 1946 after the war ended.

He is survived by his wife, Mary "Fayrene" (Ard) Young Losey, whom he married on December 13, 1980; two sons, David & (Pam) Young and Brian Young both of Science Hill; seven grandchildren, Eric & (Ashley) Young, Amanda & (Chris) Bullock, Matthew Young & (Brittney), Kiersten Flanagan & (Jake), Kayla & (Logan) Bradley, Madison Dye all of Science Hill, and Maleah Young; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. T.J. Godby officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post # 38.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Friday, September 6, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
