Hilda Pauline Simpson

Hilda Pauline Simpson, 79, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her home.

She was born in Lawtey, Florida on March 26, 1945; daughter of the late Paul Starling and Dora (Croft) Johnson. She was a retired nurse, member of Rock Lick Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time in nature, watching birds and squirrels, and had a love for shopping.

She is survived by her children, David Simpson, Virginia Ross, William & (Yukari) Simpson and Albert & (Vicky) Simpson; a sister, Johnnie Waters; a brother, Joseph Starling; friends and caretakers, Romonia Sorenson and David Goodin; seven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Simpson who died on August 2, 2015; her parents; and two siblings, Terry Lee Johnson and Angie Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Lawson officiating.

Burial will be in Simpson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
