Helen Anderson Jones

Helen Anderson Jones, 92, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018.

She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on September 23, 1925, daughter of the late William Emmett and Clara DeBord Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodstock Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy Dale "Jim D" Jones of Corbin, KY, son-in-law, Denton & (Patty) Ping of Somerset, five grandchildren, Donna Shea & (Shawn) Lawson of Williamsburg, KY, Tara Jones & (Jeff Prewitt) of Corbin, KY, Brook & (Alice) Ping of Somerset and Chris Ping of Lexington and eight great-grandchildren, Bryson Lawson, Tye Hamblin, Emily Hamblin, Logan Prewitt, Makayla Ping, Colton Ping, Camden Ping and Ashley & (Brent) Creech.  She is also survived by the wonderful staff at the Neigborhood of Somerset and best friend, Wanda Beshears.


She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Jones, her parents, one daughter, Donna Kaye Ping, daughter-in-law, Phyllis Skeen Jones, grandson, Rodney Ping, two brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Don Jones officiating.

Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

The family requests donations be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
