Harold J. Acey

Harold J. Acey, 86, of Science Hill, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born February 19, 1936 in Shady Grove; son of the late Elmer & Edna (Dick) Acey. He was a farmer and a little league baseball coach.

He is survived by his wife, Mathel (Godbey) Acey; a grandchild, Ricky & (Amber) Shepherd of Somerset; and three great-grandchildren, Ava, Kolton, & Syrus.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gerald Acey; a daughter, Sheila Shepherd; and a brother, Earl Acey.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Randolph and Bro. Cecil Bowling officiating.

Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, November 28, 2022, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Alan Godby, Jonathan Ware, Jacob Vanhook, Randy Foster, Rick Shepherd, & Scott Clark.

Honorary pallbearers are all the little league players that Harold has coached over the years.
