Gerald May, 75, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018.

He was born in Mansfield, Illinois on December 28, 1942, son of the late Willis and Flossie Austin May. He was owner and operator of the Woodstock Pallet Mill and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Marine veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Rector May of Waynesburg, one son, Gerald Christopher & (Stacy) May of Waynesburg, two daugthers, Lisa Renee & (Phillip) Wheat of Lexington, KY and April Michelle McKinney of Waynesburg, one brother, Jimmie & (Marcie) May of Stanford, KY, two sisters, Betty Jo & (Murrel) Martin and Carolyn & (Bob) Cress, both of Eubank, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-grandchild, who will arrive soon, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Henry May, Eugene May and Odell May and four sisters, Charlene Mullins, Nevada Sanders, Alma Cress and La Ferne Barron.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Bro. Vola Brown officiating.

Burial will be in Pilot Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Barron, Greg Martin, Jeff Martin, Rodney May, Tony Cress, Marty Mullins and Glenn Rector. Honorary pallbearers will be Sebastian May, Tuff McKinney, Zachary Wheat, Phillip Wheat and Benjamin Wheat.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
