George M. Young

George M. "G.M." Young, 87, of Eubank, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at the LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, Tennessee.

 

He was born February 12, 1934 in Eubank; son of the late Loyd Isaac & Amy Jane (Neely) Young. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He worked as a Railroad Engineer for Conrail and was a member of Pulaski Baptist Church.

 

He is survived by his wife, Anna D. (Zachary) Young; a daughter, Janet Keeton; a brother, Ray Young; a sister, Rosetta Hall; two grandchildren, Amber Keeton & (Nick) Wilson and Heather Keeton & (David Bandy); two great-grandchildren, Larissa Jade Wilson and Connor Mica Wilson; and a host of nieces & nephews.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Glenn Alan Young; seven brothers, Starlin, Theo, Cecil, Vernon, Herstel, & Estin Young and Joe Young, who passed away at the age of 2 years old; and three sisters, Velma Chastain, Glenna Carter, and Melba Crain.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

 

Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
