George Moore

George Allen Moore, 82, of Science Hill, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023.

He was born March 8, 1941 in Pulaski County; son of the late William Lowder & Lusettie Belle (Ballanger) Moore. He was the owner and operator of George Moore's Body Shop.

He is survived by his wife, Mereda (Burkett) Moore and two grandchildren, Jacob Moore of Richmond & Tyrese Garrett of Science Hill.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Donna Moore-Young; three brothers, Roscoe Lee, William Otto, and Joe Bill Moore; and four sisters, Merry Lizzie Lawley, Ruth Helen Moore, Louizy Moore, and Martha Evaiene Moore.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
