Geneva Josephine Bloomer, 91, of Eubank, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born February 5, 1933 in Oak Hill, Kentucky; daughter of the late Otha Ottis & Flona Ethel (New) Gadberry. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, games, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Bryan & (Jamie) Bloomer; daughters, Sheila & (Bill) Estep and Sondra & (Lester) Woolslayer; a sister-in-law, Ruby Gadberry; seven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Paul Bloomer; a son, Paul Reid Bloomer; brothers, Glen Thomas and James Lee Gadberry; and a sister, Anna Maxine Crawford.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Shannon officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 9:30 AM Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
