Gary Lee Carter

Gary Lee Carter, 70, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born August 1, 1952 in Somerset; son of the late Garriest Carter & Josephine (Webb) Watson. He worked as a mason and was a member of the Singletontown Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Carter; four children, Amy Carter, Deonna Carter, Dana Sluder, and Jr. Carter; brothers, Terry Morgan, Sammy Morgan, and Eric Cunnigan; sisters, Sharon & (Jim) Marsicano, Karen & (Stewart) Wheeler, and Rhonda & (Steve) Wilson; grandchildren, Mackenzie Eversole, Makayla Eversole, Jonathon Eversole, Erin & (Jordan) Sowders, Bryan Robinson, Nikki & (Bobby)Whitaker, Amber Carter, Jamie Sluder, Ashley Sluder, and Brittany Sluder; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William "Bill" Carter.

At the request of Mr. Gary Lee Carter, services will remain private.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Jean Waddle Care Center for their care of Mr. Carter during his stay and request that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
