Fred Lopes

Fredrick "Fred" Albert Lopes, 83, of Eubank, passed away at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

 

He was born in Ascuhnet, MA on January 8, 1937; son of the late Albert George and Lillie McClain Lopes. He was a retired Branch Manager for Cummins. He was a member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church.

 

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ryan Lopes; three sons, Dennis & (Kathy) Lopes of North Plainfield, NJ., David & (Colleen) Lopes of Gettysburg, PA., and Bryan Lopes of Maryland; two daughters, Betty Lou & (Richard) Hamilton of South Plainfield, NJ., and Debbie Popp of International Falls, MN; a brother, George & (Cheryl) Lopes of Whitman, MA., a sister, Dottie & (David) Bradford of Hudson, FL.; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Antone Joseph Lopes; and a sister, Louise Dearden.

 

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating.

 

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be after 1 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home until time for services.
