Frank Lewis Schmidt

Frank "Frankie" L. Schmidt, 52, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away on March 19, 2026, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Born in 1973 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Frank grew up with a passion for painting, which led him to build a successful commercial and residential painting business alongside his wife. He took great pride in his work and the life they created together.

Frank was a devoted husband and the loving father of six. He had a heart of gold, a quick sense of humor, and a smile that could brighten even the darkest days. He gave his family a deep sense of safety and security and took immense pride in being a dedicated family man.

He had a lifelong passion for cars and music and was known for his ability to fix just about anything. Frank will be remembered for his kindness, his strength, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Stella Schmidt.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Adida Schmidt; his children, Robert (Tori) Schmidt, Thomas Schmidt, Shelbie Schmidt, William "Willie" Schmidt, Ashley, and Brianna; his adopted son, Josh Whitson (Leah Carlisle); his siblings, Becky, Jimmy, Bobby, Tammy, and Leann, as well as another sister Crystal and four god-children; his brother and sister in law, Michael, and Christina (Eddie) and his beloved nephews, "Sugar Bear" and "Noey"; many other nieces and nephews; his grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and countless friends.

A remembrance service will be held at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home on Friday, March 27, 2026. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with visitation open to the public from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow after 7:00 p.m., officiated by Eric Weddle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests potted plants to honor Frank's memory-living tributes that will continue to grow, just as his love lives on in those who knew him.
