Frances McKinney

Frances Louise McKinney, 68, of Eubank, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center. 

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 30, 1954; daughter of the late Lewis and Blanche (Strunk) Swain. Frances retired from Oakwood; following her retirement she began working as  an Administrative Assistant at Eubank Baptist Church, where she was also a devoted and faithful member. Frances took pride in helping at the church, and assisting in the food drives.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Harold Swain, Karen Starnes, Elyria Crowe, David McNeilly, Steven McNeilly, LeAnn Locke, Becky Sims, Susan Stillwagon, Curt Mann, and Carolyn Johnson; a brother-in-law, James & (Brenda) McKinney; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and her cat, Dutch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley McKinney; her parents, Lewis and Blanche (Strunk) Swain; and siblings, Paul Swain, Barbara McNeilly, Pam Thormeyer, and Reba Mann.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 PM Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Eubank Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Double Springs Cemetery, where burial will follow.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Eubank Baptist Church or a Humane Society of your choosing.
