Faye Ard

Faye Ard, 84, of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of Science Hill, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017.She was born in Hancock County, Tennessee on March 18, 1933, daughter of the late W.H. and Laura Mills. She was co-owner of New Town Tailors and worked at Palm Beach for 23 years. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.She is survived by three sisters, Jean Ard, Phyrell Mills and Sandra White and nephew, Todd Hines.She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Ard, whom she married on May 7, 1950 and who died on December 12, 2010 and her parents.A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse officiating.Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be after 11 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donation to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
