Everett Burton

Everett Burton, 84, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026 in Russell Springs, Kentucky.

He was born on September 23, 1941 in Science Hill, Kentucky to Johnny and Amelia Miller Burton.

Everett retired from ABF Freight where he was a truck driver. After retirement he missed the road and oftentimes just went out for a drive just for the enjoyment of it. He also liked to spend the day watching television and was a big fan of NASCAR Racing. He was a talkative person who was welcoming to anyone who was around so they would feel at home. Everett was very dear to the hearts of all of his grand and great grandchildren, who loved him dearly and whom he loved just as dear in return.

He is survived by his three daughters; Brenda Britton, Gena Burton (John Wilson), Amelia (Doug) Phelps, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, a special friend, Violet Russell and a host of nieces and nephews, all who will miss him greatly.

He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Amelia Burton.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 starting at 1:00 PM at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial Will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 in the chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home from 11:00 AM till time for services.
