Evelyn Justeen Ellis, 85, of Somerset, formerly of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born in Deer Lodge, Tennessee on June 21, 1934; daughter of the late Ranel & Ruth (Broyles) Owens.

She is survived by three sons, Randy & (Lois) Mathis of Eubank, Steve & (Robbie) Mathis of Signal Mt., Tennessee, and Lawrence & (Mada) Mathis of Rossville, Georgia; one brother, Jim & (Pat) Owens of Ringgold, Georgia; one sister, Norma Grimes of Scottsboro, Alabama; three grandchildren, Darion, Dionne, & Michael; and four great-grandchildren, Joseph, Dexter, Cannon, & Sienna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her sons, Jim Mathis; her second husband, Doyle Ellis; three brothers, Claude, David, & Lawrence; and three sisters, Elsie, June, Maggie.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 19, 2019 at the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Gardens in Ringgold, Georgia.

Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Monday, August 19, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements in
Science Hill, Kentucky.

Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
