Eva Brown, 93, of Somerset, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Cumberland Nursing & Rehab.
She was born in Start, LA on January 8, 1930; daughter of the late Acy Cole and Otis O. (Buffington) Thomas. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Eva enjoyed planting flowers, crocheting, fishing, working puzzles, and attending church.
She is survived by her son, Danny Eugene & (Melissa) Brown; daughter, Barbara & (Ronny) Boyer; Several grandchildren; and a niece, Patricia & (Hollis) Woolen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Richard Brown; a daughter, Virginia Dare Brown; siblings, James Rayburn Thomas, Joe Pourchot, T.W. Thomas, Thurston Thomas, Berniece Colvin,Helen Musillami, a sister and two brothers who died in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after 11 AM Tuesday, until time for services.
