Esmond Parker Mounce

Esmond Parker Mounce, 87, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital - Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born in Norwood, Ohio on December 3, 1931 to Samuel Parker & Virginia "Virgie" Mae (Whicker) Mounce.

He is survived by his partner of fifty plus years, Ruth Mary (Wright) Mounce; six daughters, Pamela Sue & (David) Smith, Connie Lee & (Jerry) Jones; Angela & (Barry) Thompson, Kimberly & (Rick) Fox, Tamera & (James) Love, Sandra & (Jeffery) Whaley; a step-son, Clay Grandstaff Mounce; mother of his six daughters, Melba Mounce; a sister, Dorcas & (Frank) York; a brother Duane & (Lois) Mounce; fourteen grandchildren, Meaghan Hill, Matthew Smith, Stephanie Madden, Josh Winsted, Mindy Walling, Kevin & Greg Thompson, Melissa Boice, Brittany Pitz, April Joiner, Charissa Hoskins, Jeremy, Joey, Tamara, & Clay Whaley; and many great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Zurma Mounce Henry Caldwell.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with sons-in-law, Pastors Jerry Jones & James Love officiating.

Burial will take place at the White Lilly Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
