Emma Jean Dye
June 6, 1945 — May 13, 2022
Emma Jean Dye, 76, of Science Hill, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Baptist Health in Lexington.
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on June 6, 1945; daughter of the late Eugene Shadoan and Agnes Delk Shadoan Helton. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Johnny Dye, whom she married on August 20, 1965; children, Stephen & (Penny) Dye, Michelle Dye, Charles "Chuck" Dye, and Sean & (Tracy) Dye; grandchildren, Joshua Dye, Amber Jones & (Luke), Anthony & (Kaelyn) Dye, Madison & (Seth) Singleton, Bryce Dye & (Shelby), Caden Dye, Russell & (Krista) Abner, Rachel & (Teddy) Bragg, Adalberto Morales, Jaime Morales, Miguel Morales, Adonis Morales, and Carla Morales; great-grandchildren, Alexus Jones, Ella Singleton, Hudson Jones, Eleanor Abner, Mollie Abner, Paislee Singleton, Haley Bragg, and Levi Bragg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Eulanda Sue Walker, and Joanna Phelps.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Vance and Bro. Edward Parton officiating.
Burial will be in Mintonville Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home until time for services.
