Effie Joyce Maiden, 63, of Science Hill, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on January 15, 1956 in Barbourville; daughter of the late Rev. Charles E. & Telitha "Tillie" Mae (Godbey) Bays.
She is survived by her husband, Tilmon "Tim" Maiden; a son, Chuck Maiden; a daughter, Jesseca & (Sam) Phillips, a son-in-law, Toby Pratt; three brothers, Charles Roger & (Darlene) Bays, Leonard "Lenny" Ray & (Judy) Bays, and Archie "Butch" Glenn & (Marcia) Bays; and three sisters, Alice Jeanette & (Tony) Braun, Carol Bays Toschlog, and Barbara Ann & (Claude) Partin; six grandchildren, Chance Phillips, J.C. Phillips, Daulton Phillips, Wade Phillips, Gracie Pratt, & Nathaniel Pratt; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Summer Joy Maiden Pratt.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Glenwood Baptist Church, 1730 Etna Rd. in Eubank, with Bro. Lonnie Maiden officiating.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Glenwood Baptist Church.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
