Edward Southard Coldiron, 95, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at his residence.
Edward was born on June 12, 1930 to the late George W. & Laura Myrtle (Brown) Coldiron in Crab Orchard, Kentucky. Edward met his wife Evelyn in Middleton, Ohio where they lived and raised their daughter Rebecca, before returning to Somerset, Kentucky in 1990. He was a driver for Mobile Oil of Lebanon, Ohio and also served in the Ohio National Guard. Edward was bestowed as a Kentucky Colonel in 1995. He was also a Deacon and faithful member of New Enterprise Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca & (Patrick) Gunn; grandsons, Alexander Gunn, Ian & (Stefanie) Gunn, and Trevor & (Ryan) Gunn; five great-grandchildren, Lucas, Olivia, Meredith, Aria, and Graham; and his sisters, Georgia Beebee of California and Zula Salisbury of Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Crase) Coldiron; his parents, George & Myrtle Coldiron; his brothers, James Coldiron and Henry Coldiron; and his sister, Alice Miller.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jim McKinney officiating.
Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Crab Orchard, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time for services.
