Earnest Matthew "Gweedo" Chaney

Earnest Matthew "Gweedo" Chaney , 45, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Baptist Health of Louisville.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 18, 1977. He was a construction worker. He enjoyed NASCAR races, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, James & Joy Chaney Denney; his son, William Chaney; his daughters, Matty Chaney, Makenzie Chaney, Brooklyn Chaney, and Samantha Chaney (fiancé, Devin Presley) all of Somerset; a brother, Joseph Denney; two sisters, Ashley Wesley of Somerset, and Stephanie Garrison of Tennessee; the mother of his children, Rebecca Stringer; several nieces and nephews, and lots of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd & Gladys Chaney; two aunts, Libby Acey and Julie Chaney; and an Uncle, Sherman Wesley.

Mr. Chaney's family will receive friends at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home from 10 AM - 2 PM Monday, May 23, 2022. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the Catron Cemetery.
