Earl Dean Bastin, 83, of Somerset, passed away Sunday March 8, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.
He was born on February 27, 1937 in Lincoln County; son of the late Earl & Dollie (Slone) Bastin. He was a retired truck driver of Gill Trucking and member of Southern Heights Christian Church, as well as a Sunday School Teacher for the Senior Class.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bertha Bastin; a son, Edwin Earl & (Khristie) Bastin of Somerset; two daughters, Milinda Moore & Deana Caron, both of Somerset; three sisters, Louise Miracle of Stanford, Junell & (Paul) Roberts of Windsor, Kentucky, and Peggy Jo & (Jim) Board of Stanford; seven grandchildren, Josh Mounce, Matthew Caron, Christina Caron, Austin Moore, Justin Bastin, Jared Bastin, & Josie Bastin; two great-grandchildren, Scarlett & Noah Mounce; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Albert, James, & Vernon Bastin; a sister, Johnetta Bastin; an infant sister, Bobbie Earl Bastin; and two son-in-laws, Kebbie Moore & Jeff Caron.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bros. David Paddick & Bennie Robbins officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Lincoln County.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Building Fund of Southern Heights Christian Church.
