Durscle Joe Stephens, 68, of London, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Scott County, Tennessee on April 3, 1949, son of the late Hurstle and Della Mae Burchfield Stephens. He was the loader operator for Surface Coal Mining.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie Marie Wilson Stephens of London, KY, four children, Patti & (Steve) Hines of Waynesburg, Pam & (Greg) Martin of Crab Orchard, KY, Jeff & (Connie) Stephens of Danville, KY and Shane & (Carrie) Stephens of Pulaski County, brothers and sisters, Hurshal Stephens of Inverness, FL Kathal Moore of Winfield, TN, Conda Bragiel of Wilmington, IL, Von Burchfield of Greenwood, IN, Klethern Carlisle of Henderson, KY, Corlan Ellis of Pine Knot, KY, Carl Burchfield of Muncie, IN, Bandall Ball of Stearns, KY and G.G. Ellis of Graysville, TN, ten grandchildren, Kimberly, Jeff, Dustin, Kristen, Seth, Jacob, Logan, Kara, Shawna and Nikki and seventeen great-grandchildren, Hailey, Jaelyn, Derek, Rilee, Bella, Kaylee, Huner, Parker, Colten, Payten, Easton, Aiden, Addie, Sophie, Scarlett, Adrianna and Layla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Durscle Stephens, Jr. and Derek Stephens, two sisters, Kat Gannon and Jessie Wilson four brothers, Elmon Stephens, Deck Stephens, Don Burchfield and Bert Burchfield, three brothers who died in infancy, Forest, Eugene and H.J and one grandson, Bobby.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at The Gospel Singing Barn, 120 Rainbow Terrace Dr., Somerset, KY 42503 with Bro. David Carr, Bro. Gary Riggs and Bro. James Allen.
Burial will be in Warren Grove Cemetery in London, KY.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at The Gospel Singing Barn.
