Dorothy Bryant Foley, 79, of Waynesburg passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at her residence.
She was born November 25, 1940 in Mt. Olive; daughter of the late Earl & Millie (Salyers) Hamilton. She was married to Paul E. Bryant on December 24, 1954, who preceded her in death on May 19, 1988.
Granny, as she was known to most, loved traveling, working in her garden, flowers, & yard sales. She was always there with a loving hand to help anyone. She loved the Lord and had attended Pilot Baptist Church where she was saved at age 12. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, & granny.
She is survived two daughters, Shirley Bryant of Waynesburg and Paula Faye Weddle & (Bob) of Liberty; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two expected great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Walls & Deva Swartz; brothers, Jimmy, Paul, and Timmy Caldwell, Robert Hamilton of Greenwood, Indiana, and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul E. Bryant; her second husband, David Foley; a daughter, Sheila Bryant; a son, Henry Bryant; a grandaughter, Kimberly M. Walls; brothers, Melvin Caldwell and Jerry Caldwell; and a sister, Edith Smith.
A Funeral Service will be held 3:30 PM Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Shackleford & Bro. Dallas New officiating.
Burial will be in Salyers Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 1:30 PM Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
