Donald E. Barron

Donald E. Barron, 81, of Nancy, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

 

He was born September 18, 1940 in Somerset; son of the late Raymond & Tressie (Reynolds) Barron. He never met a stranger and was known for his work as a welder and machinist by many.

 

He is survived by his children, Jackie & (Jesse) Smith, Greg & (Ester) Barron, Don Barron, Jr., Allison & (Tim) Roberts, and Amanda & (Rodney) Russell, all of Somerset; two brothers, Beecher & (Ann) Barron and Roger & (Matilda) Barron, both of Eubank; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Loren, Milton, and Bobby Barron; three sisters, Joyce Buis, Fay Ray, and Alice Leger; a grandson, Brian; a great-grandson, Logan; and a nephew, Rodney.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Robby Barron officiating.

 

Burial will be in Bandy Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
