Deloris "Jean" Johnson Black, 75, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on July 27, 1943, daughter of the late John Henry and Josephine Thompson Johnson. She was a cook at Eubank Elementary School and a member of Church of God of Prophecy. She loved sewing, going to yard sales, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Tina Combs and Anita Black, both of Eubank; nine siblings, Genevieve & (Victor) Howson of Eubank, Oneida & (Tim) Bell of Somerset, Darlene & (Alton) Fulcher of Eubank, Lewis & (Shirley) Johnson of Eubank, Charles & (Mae) Johnson of Waynesburg, Ray & (Wanda) Johnson of Science Hill, Garry Johnson of Eubank, Robert Johnson of Nancy and Larry Johnson of Somerset, four grandchildren, Talana & (Aaron) Hughes, Siarra & (Rhubin) Spears, Bryanna Black and Alyssa Black and three great-grandchildren, Darrin Hughes, Lydia Mae Jean Hughes and Emma Grace Spears.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burlie Lyndell Black, who died on November 23, 2016; her parents, John Henry and Josephine Thompson Johnson and one son, Darren Black.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Measel officiating.
Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
