Darrell Ray Thompson, 67, of Eubank, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born on June 9, 1957 to the late William Woodrow and Julia Mae (Whiles) Thompson in Mangum, Kentucky. Darrell was a mechanic and enjoyed working on automotives. He loved to play music and enjoyed watching races and derbies.
He is survived by his son, Woodrow Thompson; a daughter, Brandy & (Daniel) Rader; his life long partner of 24 years, Patsy Sanders; his brothers, Rick Thompson and Jimmy & (Sharon) Thompson; a sister, Eunice & (Gary) Irvine; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Preston, Jaden, and Skylar; a host of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Martha Murphy; and a host of many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Janice Dick and Linda Dick.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 12 PM.
