Danny Wayne Keith

Danny Wayne Keith, 72, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born on December 14, 1953 to the late Romer & Imajean (Tilley) Keith in Somerset, Kentucky.

Danny had a deep love for animals and found great joy in horseback riding and lending a helping hand to others. He cherished time spent in the mountains, especially traveling the back roads and taking in the beauty of nature. One of his favorite pastimes was visiting Cade's Cove, where he enjoyed watching wildlife in its natural setting. He also held a special fondness for Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. At home, Danny took pride in caring for his chickens and tending to the chicken house he had built, a simple pleasure that brought him much happiness.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Frakes) Keith; his children, Dana, Tonya, Jill, Brandy, Billie, Valerie, Jennifer, Clint, Lee, and Jimmy; his siblings, Patsy & (Lester) Hines, Cary & (Shirley) Keith, Romer & (Bonnie) Keith, Jr., and Sharon & (Bobby) Prater; several grandchildren; a special nephew, Kevin Prater; two nieces, Lisa & (David) Cook and Cammy Vanhook; a nephew, Brandon Vanhook; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Bullock officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form in donations to the Danny Keith Memorial Fund c/o Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
