Daniel Wayne Smith, 74, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018.

He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on April 19, 1944, son of the late Porter and Geneva Smith Isabell. He was employed by Hardwick Block and Tile and Mac's Drywall. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed watching Westerns, gardening, listening to country music and writing songs.

He is survived by four sons, Daniel Q. Smith & (Susan) of Pike County, KY, Tony W. Smith & (Angie) of Science Hill, Scott Smith & (Rhonda) of Somerset and Steven Smith of Science Hill, one daughter, Tina Mullins & (Marty) of Science Hill, one brother, Phil Isabell & (Diane) of Remington, IN, one sister, Anne Hess & (Troy) of Science Hill, thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

There was a special bond with the late Doolin and Flossie Smith's children, whom he called his brothers and sisters, Harry Smith, Dee Smith, Joe Smith, Paul Smith, Frank Smith, Warren Smith, Christine Dodson, Audrey Acey, Mary Wesley and Betty Dodson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Faye Roberts Smith, whom he married on September 28, 1963 and who died on July 14, 2016, his parents, one brother, Larry Dale Isabell and one grandson, Jon Rape.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Green officiating.

Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
