Daniel Eric Dick, 72, of Science Hill, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Magnum, Kentucky on January 12, 1949; son of the late Robert Hershel and Winnie Marie Pitman Dick. He was a Brick Mason until his retirement. He was a member of King Bee Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wallace Dick; a daughter, Kimberly & (Robert) Stephens; a son, William Joseph & (Stephanie) Dick; two step sons, Tony Whiles, and Stacy Whiles; three sisters, Vivian & (Andrew) Cook, Karen & (Hobert) Haggard, and Melissa & (John) Blair; six grandchildren, Erica Dick, Rhianna Dick, Caleb Dick, Ryan Denton, Shantel Dykes, and Harley Whiles; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Helen Dick. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Martin Dick, Orrin Dick. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of V.A., Lifeline, and Hospice of Lake Cumberland. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, August 13, 2021 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Friday, until time for services at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
