Dallas Hopkins

February 16, 1969 — March 17, 2021

Dallas Hopkins, 52, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born February 16, 1969 in Berea; son of Dale & Linda (Wilmott) Bishop. He was a team leader of Technical Services for South Kentucky Rural Electric. He had an Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance.
Dallas loved life and never met a stranger. He was a compassionate, kind man who always put others before himself. Dallas was full of joy, with a laugh and smile that would fill the largest room.
Dallas loved his son, Dylan and daughter, Brookelyn with his whole heart. They were the center of his life. He was happiest spending time with them. He was an active part of their sports careers as a Maroon. He spent hours coaching Dylan in football, basketball, and baseball. Currently, you would find him on the golf course with Brooke supporting and guiding her. He was always ready to talk of their accomplishments on and off the competition field. They were his pride and joy.
Dallas was a loving husband to Angel for 29 years. He was her high school sweetheart. Together they had dreams of travel and retirement. He loved planning the perfect family vacations.
Dallas loved God and his church family at East Somerset Baptist Church.
Dallas was loved by all his coworkers at South KY RECC. All say he was their friend and he was always willing to do anything for them.
Dallas was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, cousin, and coworker. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched.
He is survived by his parents; his wife, Angel (Pittman) Hopkins; a son, Dylan Troy Hopkins; a daughter, Brookelyn Michelle Hopkins; a brother, Tony & (Jennifer) Hopkins of Louisville; three nieces; and one nephew.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Bishop and a sister-in-law, Karen Ware.
