Dallas Dwayne Hargis

August 6, 1942 — May 12, 2017

Dallas Dwayne Hargis, 74, entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Friday, May 12, 2017. Born in 1942 to Elmer and Edna & (Darrell) Hargis, Dallas grew up in Salt Lick, Kentucky on a farm. He graduated from Morehead State University with a B.S. in agriculture and geography in 1966. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda, in 1962 and eventually moved to Science Hill, Kentucky. Together, they bought a farm and simply enjoyed the cultivation, growing, and harvesting of crops, as well as, a good herd of cattle. He delighted in watching his loved ones taking part in this family tradition. He worked over thirty years for Farmers Home Administration where he was privileged to help many people get their start in farming. More than farming, was Dallas’s love of his church and serving the Lord.
