Morene Wesley

Cleta Morene Wesley, 82, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026.

She was a faithful member of West Science Hill Baptist Church and found great joy in gardening and caring for her home. Morene was known for being a meticulous cleaner and took pride in keeping everything just so. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, who were the center of her world. She also enjoyed traveling and reading. She and her husband, Jim, traveled immensely through the years, creating treasured memories together during their 59 years of marriage.

She is survived by two sons, Rick Wesley and wife Shannon, and Greg Wesley and wife Cora, all of whom she loved deeply and was immensely proud of. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Madison Watts and husband Mark, and Jarrod Wesley and fiancée Marley, who brought her great joy and happiness. Also surviving is her sister, Beulah Fern Vaught, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will greatly miss her gentle spirit and loving presence.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 59 years, James "Jim" Wesley, who passed away on May 26, 2022. Their marriage was one of devotion, partnership, and shared adventures. Two brothers, Charles Acey, Jr. and Wayne Acey; as well as a son who died in infancy, Scott Wesley.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 23, 2026, at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Don Branscum and Bro. Norman Harper officiating. Burial will be in West Science Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11:00 AM Monday, February 23, 2026, until time for services at the funeral home.
