Clarence "Cap" Swift

July 23, 1932 — February 3, 2018

Clarence "Cap" Swift, 85, of Waynesburg, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on July 22, 1932; son of the late Charles Haskel and Anna Mae Orchid Swift. He was a retired service man for GTE.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years whom he married on March 11, 1967, Barbara Sue Creason Swift; a son, Rickie Swift of Waynesburg; three daughters, Debbie Lamberson of New Franklin, MO, Sheraly Nichols of Columbia, MO, and Susan Jolly of Stanford, KY; one brother, Gordon Swift of Monticello, KY; one sister, Christine Swift of Lancaster, KY; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, James Hubert Swift, Dallas Ray Swift, Charles Haskel Swift, Jr., Leamon Swift, Virgil Swift; one sister, Etta Loretta Todd; one grandson, Kevin Nichols; and a son-in-law, Charles Nichols.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Olive Cemetery.

Visitation for Clarence Swift will be after 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
