Brenda Miller Kendrick

Brenda Kay Miller Kendrick, 75, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.

She was born August 30, 1947 in Somerset; daughter of the late Dolphus Parr & Freda (Wiles) Dick. She worked as the Vice President for Citizens National Bank and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Kendrick; son, Tony & (Darcy) Miller of Richmond; four grandchildren, Savannah Miller, Owen Miller, Braeden Miller, Madelyn Miller; and two step-grandchildren, Aiden Tretter and Jacob Tretter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Homer "Sammy" Miller; and two sisters, Bobbie Casada and Maxine Black.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Wilder officiating.

Burial will be in the Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 11:00 AM Friday, August 18, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
