Brenda Sue Eldridge

Brenda Sue Eldridge, 75, of Waynesburg, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, KY.

She was born on January 13, 1951 to the late Russell & Fern (Elliott) Sims in Kings Mountain, Kentucky. Brenda was a faithful member of Parlor Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and taking in the beauty of the world around her through sightseeing. She cherished the simple pleasures of life and the memories made along the way.

She is survived by her husband, Tyrone Eldridge; her son, Brent Meeks of Danville, KY; her daughter, Penny & (Jeff) Hurst of Danville, KY; her brothers, Ronnie & (Lisa) Sims and Jody & (Jessica) Sims both of Waynesburg, KY; her sisters, Linda & (Larry) Peavey of Liberty, KY, Diane & (Mike) Jones of Waynesburg, KY, Elaine & (Jimmy) Sims of Liberty, KY, Jennifer & (Jerry) Colyer of Lancaster, KY, and Laverne & (Paul) Duff of Stanford, KY; her grandsons, Brad & (Paige) Luttrell, Josh & (Kassi) Hurst, Joey & (Lexi) Hurst, and Austin Grant; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Kenny Sims, Donnie Sims, and Kenneth Sims.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Lockard officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brad Luttrell, Josh Hurst, Joey Hurst, Gavin Hurst, Nathan Durham, and Nick Carrier.

Honorary Pallbearers are Skylar Hurst, Alyssia Mullins, Brantley Luttrell, Tinzlee Hurst, Jansyn Brown, Zoey Hurst, Kase Luttrell, Ava Hurst, Westyn Brown, and Cooper Johnson.

Burial will be at Double Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
